Enercheck Systems performs a leak survey to locate leaks in the compressed air system. Leaks are tagged and the location of each is noted and included in a report. An approximate dollar value is assigned to each leak so that justification can be made for repair of the system. A systematic program of repairing the leaks should be implemented as soon as possible, preferably as the leak survey is performed.
A leak survey usually identifies the most common leak areas:
pipe connections and valves
defunct equipment with air left on
hoses and disconnect plugs
traps and drains (liquid)
manual blow-down valves
filters, gaskets and seals
